Chee Chee Rodriguez!!

"Huh? Who is this Chee Chee Roriguez character?" I'm sure that's what some of you are thinking. Well, CCR is someone that is very dear to me and also someone that is probably going to kill me once she sees that I have put her all time *favorite* nickname on my blog! I had to do it though. It was the only way I could tell this fabulous blogging community that my sister, Chelsea aka CCR, has decided to start her very own blog!! You have no idea how excited I was when she came to me to discuss the possibilities of blogging. She pondered it for a while, in true CCR fashion, and she probably even made a list of do's and dont's, as most type A's do, but she finally pulled the trigger. Woohoo!

Now Chels and I will probably differ a little on our blogs. I'm the younger (ha!) married sister with a house in the burbs and a dog - basically June Cleaver ;) and she is the single beautiful older sister with a new house in a trendy area, a great job, fabulous life of travel, and always trying out the new fun restaurants! I love hearing about all she has going on and I hope you all will too!

On a side note look how cute this frog is! I found him hiding under our number panel that we have to open our garage. I got him to come out and took several pics of the colorful guy! He had quite the voice on him too. Now bloggies, make like a frog (nice segway, eh?) and leap on over to Chels' new blog: A Girl Like You and give her a warm welcome! She will most definitely appreciate it! She has already been reading up on several blogs that I have in my reader so I'm sure she has visited a few of you already.

Happy Hump Day!!

Sisterly Love

{Sister and me}

Yes, there is another birthday in my family! Today is my fabulous big sister's 26th birthday!! I can't believe she is 4 years away from 30. HA! She took the day off of work and my mom met her for a yummy steak lunch. Sounds like fun to me! She also just returned from the Grand Cayman islands with one of her girlfriends for a little birthday treat! Jealous? Why, yes I am! I'm sad I'm missing out on the festivities tonight (momma's homemade tacos, all the fixins and some chocolate mousse to boot!) to help her celebrate! Being the big sis, I always looked up to her. She was kind of like my role model. She was taller and always had the cute clothes that she rarely let me borrow because she was worried I would spill something on one of her new shirts :) I was pretty notorious for spilling a drink or chocolate down the front of my tops! However, I do remember sneaking some of her clothes out of her closet when she wasn't looking and then so carefully putting them back - HA! She was what I wanted to be when I "grew up" and still is. She's an independent, beautiful and oh so sweet sister. I love her to death!

Happy Birthday Chee!! I miss you and I hope you have a fabulous birthday!! Can't wait to help you celebrate this weekend!

Weekend Happenings

Hello ladies!! How was every one's weekend?? We had another eventful couple of days. I'll have to make this quick because I have some catching up to do at work (re: sick)

Friday night Beau and I met up with my sis (Chee) for some yummy Mexican food at the delicious Armandos and then out for some drinks. It was a blast as usual to get to hang out with her.

Saturday morning I woke up and was craving sausage, biscuits and gravy. Well all I had was the sausage, so I made our gravy and biscuits from scratch - without a recipe, mind you. Let me just say, don't ever attempt this unless you really know what you are doing. I didn't know you could screw up biscuits so bad, but I did. Beau ate it all up like there was no tomorrow. I opted for cereal instead :) I'll tell you who else like the biscuits. Miss Daisy! She's found out that she can jump up and reach the counter tops now. (Did I mention that she's HUGE! What happened to my baby D?) When she first did it we thought it was adorable....now, not so much. She is up there all the time and I caught her doing this:

Now do you think I scolded her? No! I'm a wuss and she looked so cute. My kids are totally going to walk all over me.... I spent the rest of the morning cleaning and then we headed to see my parents. They had asked us to come over for steaks and I wasn't about to pass that up! Oh and PappaT got a new car so I had to check out his new "whip" - I think that's the slang kids are using these days. I'm officially in love with his car! It's fast and shiny and smells so good! He and momma have coined it the "silver bullet" named after their favorite beer, of course. Check out those wheels. It's a beauty!

And I'll leave you with an image of my lil sis, Binks. Not sure why we call her Binks, maybe because when she was a baby she loved her "binky" aka pacifier. Who knows. Anyways, this is what happens when you leave an 8 year old alone with your camera. Check out that nose! HA She's totally going to hate me for posting this. I love that little girl!

Happy Monday!!
